One crucial part of driver education and the technology solutions around it is content creation. You need to have up-to-date content that captures the learners’ focus. A significant challenge arises from managing thousands of pictures of traffic situations, vehicle technology, drivers etc. It makes it time consuming to create good meta-data and to develop a search solution that can surface relevant pictures quickly. This is especially complex when users. who need to find the information, varies in their technical abilities, making complex metadata-based search queries impractical.

Buildgrid Solution

The solutions was implemented using Buildgrid’s platform, which supports enterprise-grade generative AI processes. In this scenario, the solution was to automatically understand what is in the picture and facilitate semantic search to allow users to search using natural laguage. Examlpe could be to ask for “testing tire tread depth”. So you can see that AI needs to understand what’s happening in the picture to be able to understand what the user is searching for. The process involves mass uploading various types of pictures by admin users, which are then automatically converted into embeddings and stored in our vector database along with the original images and thumbnails, offering a backup solution as well. Datadrivers users configured a semantic search -model on the platform, so in their chat view when they “chat” with the image bank, the result set is a grid of pictures as a result set. And access needs to be controlled, so only user with access to Buildgrid solution can access the picture data.
